Centipede

Mowing

Centipede is a relatively slow grower. Generally, it should be mowed every 7-10 days at a height of 1-2 inches. Overgrown lawns should be mowed down gradually, never mowing more than 1/3 of the leaf blade at any one mowing.

Irrigation

This is a somewhat drought tolerant grass that should be allowed to dry out between watering. Good irrigation management will create a deeper root system and overall healthier plant. Never irrigate to point of puddles.

Empire Zoysia

Overview

Reduced maintenance needs and durability are the hallmarks of Empire Zoysia. Originally developed in Brazil, this grass thrives in harsh tropical climates like Florida and Coastal South Carolina. Empire Zoysia is one of the few grasses rated to perform well in all zones, and can thrive in varying soils and climatic conditions.

Durable enough for professional use, Empire Zoysia is also a favorite of golf courses, planned communities, office complexes and other commercial areas.
